It all started in the little town of Camporeale a few kilometers from Palermo, Sicily where Joey's ancestors came from, decades and decades ago. They brought with them the family recipe for authentic Vodka Sauce. In Brooklyn they were introduced by fellow immigrants to the flavors of other areas of Italy and refined their recipe to what it is today: delectable Joey Pots and Pans Vodka Sauce. Joey describes it as the flavor of Italy combined with the taste of New York. It is not a restaurant recipe, not a giant brand product, simply a hearty homemade treat. As wonderful as the ingredients are - like the incomparable imported Italian tomatoes, the imported cheeses and vodka - it's the secret proportions and preparation that make the difference. Joey grew up to be the top executive at Faberge. Yet his first and abiding love is Italian cooking. After all, he's not called Pots and Pans for nothing. All natural. No preservatives.
